About the Tetra Electrophoresis Core Set

The Tetra cores stand out due to their compatibility with all Invitrogen mini gels, allowing users to swap and run gels effortlessly while achieving high-performance results. When using both cores, up to four gels can be run simultaneously, which significantly increases throughput and efficiency. Additionally, the self-aligning cassettes and leak-proof design ensure stable and reliable electrophoresis runs, making experiment setup easy and fast.

The Tetra Electrophoresis Primary Core comes with the Tetra Buffer Dam (Cat. No. 1658039) for use when running only one gel in the core. To run three or four gels at once, the Tetra Electrophoresis Companion Core is used alongside the Primary Core. This combination allows for the simultaneous running of multiple gels, further enhancing throughput and efficiency in your lab. The Companion Core works seamlessly with the Primary Core, providing a flexible solution for varying experimental needs.

This cost-effective solution eliminates the need for new electrophoresis equipment, saving costs while enhancing your lab's capabilities. The Tetra Electrophoresis Core Set is straightforward to use: simply swap the cores in your Bio-Rad Mini-PROTEAN Tetra system for the Invitrogen Tetra cores and use Invitrogen mini protein gels following their recommended protocols.

About Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format

Novex Tris-Glycine mini gels are polyacrylamide gels based on traditional Laemmli protein electrophoresis, allowing the use of Laemmli sample and running buffers. They enable consistent performance and separation of a wide range of proteins into well-resolved bands. Novex Tris-Glycine gels, WedgeWell format, have innovative wedge-shaped wells that allow up to two times more sample load volume than other 1.0 mm-thick gels. The wedge-shaped wells also have larger openings, making sample loading easier.

For transferring your proteins to a membrane, we recommend using for Novex Tris-Glycine Native Running Buffer (Cat. No. LC2672) or Novex Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer (Cat. No. LC3675) for traditional wet transfer using the XCell II Blot Module (Cat. No. EI9051). Alternatively, rapid semi-dry transfer can be performed using the Power Blotter or rapid dry transfer using the iBlot 3 Gel Transfer Device (Cat. No. IB31001).
