Description
A large amount of trace evidence was collected in a cabin during the investigation, and recently additional trace evidence has arrived from a truck discovered in New Mexico. Students process and analyze samples in their quest to solve the mystery.
- Hair and fiber trace evidence collected on tape are recovered by dissolving the adhesive and filtering out the samples
- Students use microscopy to characterize the evidence and match to hair and fibers collected from the truck
- Each student produces at least one microscope slide from the evidence provided
- Class size: six groups of up to five students per group
