Applications1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctanol is used to prepare fluorinated aromatic diamine by reacting with 2-(4-nitrophenoxy)-4-nitrophenol through Mitsunobu reaction, which one reacts with dianhydrides such as 4,4′-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)diphthalic anhydride (6FDA), pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) and benzophenonetetracarboxylic dianhydride (BTDA) to prepare polyimides.
Solubility
Miscible with chloroform and methanol. Immiscible with water.
