Description
Spectrum™ Chemical 1,1,1,3,3,3-Hexafluoro-2-propanol, Reagent , is the organic compound that is commonly abbreviated as HFIP and is a fluorinated alcohol that is used as a solvent and synthetic intermediate. It′s a colorless, volatile liquid that has a characteristic strong, pungent odor. It is mainly used for solubilizing a rangeof polymers as well as being the precursor and chief metabolite of the inhalation anesthetic sevoflurane.
